Getting Started

How do I create an account?+

Download the BuskerBeat app from the App Store or Google Play, then tap "Sign Up." Choose your account type (Busker or Fan), enter your email, create a password, and verify your email address. You'll be ready to start using BuskerBeat in just a few minutes!

What's the difference between a Busker and Fan account?+

Busker Accounts: For street performers who want to share performances, receive tips, and build an audience.

Fan Accounts: For music lovers who want to discover performers, watch performances, and support artists with tips and engagement.

You can switch between account types in your settings.

Is BuskerBeat free to use?+

Yes! Creating an account, browsing performances, and basic features are completely free. Fans can purchase Stars to tip performers, and performers can request payouts of their earnings.

For Performers

How do I upload a performance?+

Tap the "+" button on your profile, select "Upload Performance," choose a video from your gallery or record a new one, add a title and description, select your performance location and genre, then tap "Post."

Can I go live and stream performances?+

Yes! Tap the "Go Live" button on your profile to start a live stream. Fans can watch in real-time, comment, and send Stars during your performance. Make sure you have a stable internet connection for the best experience.

How do I receive tips from fans?+

Fans can send you Stars on your performances and profile. Stars convert to real money that you can cash out. Go to Settings > Earnings to set up your payout method (bank account or PayPal) and request withdrawals.

What are the payout minimums and fees?+

The minimum payout is $10. BuskerBeat takes a 15% platform fee on earnings to cover payment processing and platform operations. Payouts are processed within 3–5 business days.

For Fans

How do I buy Stars to tip performers?+

Tap the Stars icon in the app, select a Star package (100, 500, 1000, or more), and complete your purchase through Apple Pay, Google Pay, or credit card. Stars will be added to your account immediately.

Can I get a refund on Stars I purchased?+

Star purchases are generally non-refundable. However, if there was a technical error or unauthorized transaction, contact our support team at support@buskerbeat.com with your transaction details.

How do I discover new performers?+

Browse the "Discover" tab to see trending performers and performances. Use filters to search by location, genre, or popularity. Follow your favorite performers to see their new content in your personalized feed.

Account & Settings

How do I change my password?+

Go to Settings > Account > Change Password. Enter your current password, then your new password twice to confirm. We recommend using a strong, unique password.

How do I delete my account?+

Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. You'll be asked to confirm this action. Note that deleting your account is permanent and all your data, performances, and earnings will be lost.

How do I report inappropriate content or users?+

Tap the "…" menu on any post or profile and select "Report." Choose the reason (spam, harassment, inappropriate content, etc.) and submit. Our safety team will review the report within 24 hours.

Technical Support

The app keeps crashing. What should I do?+

Try these steps: 1) Force close and restart the app, 2) Update to the latest version from the App Store/Google Play, 3) Clear the app cache in Settings, 4) Restart your device. If the problem persists, contact support with your device model and OS version.

I'm not receiving notifications+

Go to your device Settings > Notifications > BuskerBeat and make sure notifications are enabled. In the app, go to Settings > Notifications and check that your preferences are set correctly.

Videos won't upload. What's wrong?+

Check your internet connection and make sure you're on WiFi for large files. Videos must be under 5 minutes and less than 500 MB. Supported formats are MP4, MOV, and AVI. If issues continue, try compressing your video or recording at a lower resolution.
